Short answer: SaasAnt Transactions Online costs $25 a month (or $250 a year) on the Growth plan, $50 a month ($500 a year) on Scale, and $100 a month ($1,000 a year) on Automate. Every plan is metered in credits: 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 a month respectively, and a plain import costs 1 credit per line. Multi-company plans for firms run from $30 a month for three companies to $150 a month for thirty. The Online edition works only with QuickBooks Online and Xero; QuickBooks Desktop needs the separate SaasAnt Transactions Desktop license, sold yearly from $125 per computer.

Those are the headline numbers, and on their own they look cheap. The part that decides your real bill is what each action costs in credits, because parsing a bank statement costs fifty times what a normal import line costs, credits expire at the end of every cycle, and the trial caps you at 50 lines. Every figure below was read from SaasAnt's own support article on Online pricing (last updated February 3, 2026), its credit-structure article, and its Desktop pricing page, all checked in September 2026. Pricing changes, so confirm the current figure on their site before you buy.

Growth$25$25025,00034,000
Scale$50$50050,000105,000
Automate$100$1,000100,0001510,000

Each single-company plan covers exactly one QuickBooks Online company. Growth includes one automation and one backup, Scale five of each, Automate ten of each. Yearly billing is ten times the monthly price, so the annual option buys you two months rather than the larger discounts you will see quoted on software directories.

How much does SaasAnt cost for multiple companies?

Bookkeeping firms buy the Launch plans instead. Launch-3 is $30 a month or $300 a year for three companies, three users and 15,000 combined credits. Launch-10 is $75 a month or $750 a year for ten companies, three users and 50,000 credits. Launch-30 is $150 a month or $1,499 a year for thirty companies, ten users and 150,000 credits. Above thirty companies you email billing for a custom quote.

Launch-10$75$75010350,000
Launch-30$150$1,4993010150,000

Note the credit pool shrinks per company as you scale up. Growth gives one company 25,000 credits a month. Launch-3 gives three companies 15,000 between them, so 5,000 each. Launch-30 works out to 5,000 per company as well. A firm that imports heavy volume for a handful of clients can run out of credits on a multi-company plan long before a single-company Growth subscriber would.

What does one SaasAnt credit actually buy?

SaasAnt meters by action, and the rates are not uniform. An import or modify costs 1 credit per line item. An export costs 0.1 credit per transaction, a delete 0.5, a backup 0.1 per transaction, and a generated report 1 credit. Live edit is 1 credit per line. The expensive actions are document parsing: a receipt costs 50 credits per parse, a bank statement costs 50 credits per line parsed, and the AI Excel converter costs 100 credits per page.

ActionCreditsWhat 25,000 Growth credits buy
Import or modify1 per line25,000 lines
Export0.1 per transaction250,000 transactions
Delete0.5 per transaction50,000 transactions
Receipt parsing50 per receipt500 receipts
Bank statement parsing50 per line500 statement lines
AI Excel converter100 per page250 pages

Read the last two rows twice. If you bring SaasAnt a spreadsheet you already have, 25,000 credits is more import capacity than most small businesses use in a year. If you bring it a bank statement to parse, a single 300-line statement spends 15,000 credits, and two such statements exhaust the Growth allowance for the month. The product is priced for people who arrive with clean rows, not for people who need the rows extracted.

Do unused SaasAnt credits roll over?

No. SaasAnt states that unused credits expire at the end of the billing cycle and cannot be carried into the next period or transferred between accounts or companies. If you run out mid-cycle, the documented remedy is to upgrade to a higher plan; there is no published option to buy a top-up block. For seasonal work that is the wrong shape: a quiet quarter builds nothing, and a January catch-up can push you from Growth to Scale for the month you need it.

Is there a free trial of SaasAnt Transactions?

Yes, 30 days with no card, and it is tighter than it sounds. The trial includes 100 credits and caps every file at 50 lines. That is enough to import 100 lines from a spreadsheet, or to parse two lines of a bank statement at 50 credits each. You can confirm the app connects to your QuickBooks Online company and that its column mapping works, but you cannot run a real month of activity through it before paying.

Does SaasAnt Transactions work with QuickBooks Desktop?

Not the Online edition. SaasAnt Transactions Online supports QuickBooks Online and Xero, and its supported-transaction list covers Online only. Desktop users buy SaasAnt Transactions Desktop, a Windows application priced per year and per computer: Starter $125, Professional $199, and Migration $299, each licensed for one computer. Server licenses cover more machines: Professional $299 a year for five computers and Enterprise $599 a year for ten. The Desktop pricing page lists annual prices only.

Desktop is also where the file question bites hardest, because QuickBooks Desktop cannot import a bank CSV in any version. It reads a .qbo Web Connect file or an IIF file, nothing else, so the real comparison for a Desktop user is between an installed importer and a CSV to QuickBooks Desktop converter that hands you the .qbo file.

SaasAnt pricing compared with a CSV to QBO converter

The two products charge for different things. SaasAnt connects to your QuickBooks Online company through the API and writes rows into it as posted transactions, so you pay per line and you never receive a file. csvqbo takes the CSV or Excel export from your bank and returns a .qbo Web Connect file, priced per conversion, with no per-row metering on paid plans (QuickBooks itself accepts up to 1,000 transactions per upload). You import the file yourself through the normal bank feed, into Online or Desktop, and match it against your books like any other statement download.

SaasAnt wins two rows honestly. Its yearly Growth price is lower in absolute dollars, $250 against $294, and it imports far more than bank activity: invoices, bills, journal entries, time activities and inventory adjustments, with bulk edit and delete on top. If your job is loading a year of sales receipts into QuickBooks Online, SaasAnt is the right category of tool and a CSV to QBO converter is the wrong one. If your job is getting bank and card activity into QuickBooks, especially into Desktop, the converter route costs less and leaves QuickBooks doing the matching.

Which buyer should pick which

Pick SaasAnt Transactions when you live in QuickBooks Online, your data already arrives as clean spreadsheet rows, and you need bulk import of many transaction types plus in-place editing. Its per-line pricing is close to free at that volume. Pick a SaasAnt Transactions alternative built around a .qbo file when any of these apply: you or your clients run QuickBooks Desktop, you would rather review rows on screen and import through the bank feed than let an app post straight into the ledger, or your monthly work is measured in statements rather than lines. Firms juggling client files should also price the multiple company file question directly, since csvqbo does not charge per company.

One more cost to plan for. Receipts are SaasAnt's priciest input at 50 credits each, so 500 receipts consume a whole Growth month. If receipts are the bulk of your workload, a receipt OCR service that hands you a CSV turns them into the one-credit rows SaasAnt prices cheaply, and the same CSV feeds a QBO converter just as well.

How do I check SaasAnt's current price before buying?

Use the support article titled Pricing for SaasAnt Transactions Online rather than the marketing page, which is rendered in the browser and easy to misread. The support article lists every plan with credits, users and line limits, and carries a last-updated date. Then run the same real file through both tools. On csvqbo you get three conversions with no account and three more once you create one, enough to confirm that dates parse in US order and the sign convention is right for a credit card account before you pay anything.
